BROCCOLI BEEF - STIR FRY

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. lean beef, round or sirloin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. peanut oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli
  • 1 c. carrots, sliced
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. sherry wine (optional)
  • Cornstarch and water to thicken to desired consistency

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine chicken broth, ginger, soy sauce, sherry. Cut beef into thin strips. Season with salt and pepper. Cut broccoli into flowerets about 2 inches long and slice stalk diagonally into half inch slices. Peel and slice carrots into 1/4 inch slices.
Preheat wok or skillet over high heat. Add oil. (Peanut will be a distinctly different taste). Heat for two minutes.
Add beef. Stir fry for 3-5 minutes. Add carrots, stir fry 3 minutes, then add broccoli and stir fry 3- 5 minutes
more. Add chicken broth mixture. Combine cornstarch and water and blend into beef and vegetables. Bring to boil until desired consistency. The beef and broccoli recipe is ready to serve over white rice. Nice one ! Enjoy it !

BEEF BROCCOLI PIE

A nice beef and broccoli recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked and drained
  • Pastry, 9 inch double
  • 4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Brown onion and beef. Add flour, salt and garlic salt. Add milk and cream cheese, simmer until thickened. Add beaten egg and stir until well blended. Stir in cooked broccoli. Pour into lightly browned pie shell. Cover mixture with slices of Monterey Jack cheese and top with upper crust. Perforate crust and brush with milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. The beef and broccoli recipe is ready to serve....nice ! Enjoy it !

BEEF AND BROCCOLI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 lb. beef round steak, cut thin sliced
  • 1 sm. clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 to 4 tbsp. cooking sherry
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 8 c. broccoli
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • Hot cooked rice

INSTRUCTIONS
In wok or skillet stir-fry beef, garlic, sugar and salt in hot oil. Add sherry and soy sauce; cook, covered 2 to 3 more minutes. Remove meat and set aside. Add broccoli and 3/4 cup water to skillet. Bring to boiling. Stir, then continue cooking, covered, 2 to 5 minutes more. Add meat.

Combine cornstarch and the 1/2 cup of cold water. Pour into center of meat mixture. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Serve with rice. The beef and broccoli recipe is ready..enjoy it !

BEEF AND BROCCOLI RECIPE STIR FRY


INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 lb. boneless tender beef steak
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch, divided
  • 4 tbsp. soy sauce, divided
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. fresh broccoli, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp. oil, divided
  • 1 onion, chunked and separated
  • 1 carrot, cut diagonally into 1/8 inch slices
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut beef scores grain into thin slices. Combine 1 tablespoon each cornstarch and soy sauce with sugar and garlic.
Stir in beef. Let stand 15 minutes. Meanwhile, remove flowereets from broccoli. Combine remaining cornstarch and soy sauce with 1 cup water; set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in wok or large skillet over high heat. Add meat and stir fry 1 minute; remove. Heat remaining oil in same wok. Add broccoli, onion and carrot; stir fry 4 minutes, or until vegetables are tender crisp. Stir in meat and soy sauce mixture; bring to boil. Cook and stir until sauce thickens. The beef and broccoli recipe is ready to serve immediately. Nice with rice or noodles. Enjoy it !

  • 1 med. onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 can cream of broccoli soup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 c. broccoli flowerets
  • Hot cooked egg noodles

INSTRUCTIONS
In skillet, over medium high heat, cook beef and garlic in hot oil until browned. Add onion, cook 5 minutes,
stirring often. Stir in soup, water and soy sauce. Bring to a boil. Add broccoli. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 4 to 6 minutes. The beef and broccoli recipe is ready to serve over noodles...great !
